The Hungarian Guest Investor Program is an initiative designed to attract foreign investment by offering residency permits to non-EU nationals who make significant financial contributions to Hungary. To qualify for the Hungarian Guest Investor Program, applicants must meet specific investment criteria. The following options are available:
EUR 250,000
A minimum investment in shares of a real estate fund registered with the Hungarian National Bank (consisting in 40% of real estate assets on the Hungarian market). This investment must be maintained for at least five years.
EUR 500,000
Acquire a residential property must be registered in Hungary’s Land Registry and maintained for a minimum of five years. Note that this option is available from January 1, 2025.
EUR 1,000,000
Make a non-refundable donation to a higher education institution in Hungary aimed at supporting scientific research or artistic activities.
Eligibility extends to the investor’s immediate family, including spouses and dependent children under 18, allowing them to apply for residency under family unification provisions.
